XPDL-based workflow with TYPO3

XPDL is an emerging industry standard for workflow definitions of business processes.

There are a couple Open Source implementations for workflow-suites and engines with XPDL-support available.

Two years ago the first approach to bridge such a workflow facility into TYPO3 was made as part of a diploma thesis.

Since then a lot of time has passed. The standards and tools, as well as the support for XPDL, have evolved a lot since then.

Currently I am working on a new Frontend-based reimplementation of such a TYPO3-integrated workflow facility using a tomcat/j2ee webcontainer and the php-java-bridge.

This talk will give an overview of the architecture, features and current state.
