Abstract 

In this presentation we aim to look at the architecture of the upcoming TYPO3 version 5.0 and expain it's structure from a practical point of view:
- what are the features and benefits of this design for developers, administrators and users
- how to explain this architecture to prospective and existing clients
- how it compares to previous TYPO3 versions and competing products

We will complete the presentation with a number of application scenarios.

Authors Description 

Daniel Hinderink is a founding member and current member of the board of the TYPO3 association, along term contributor to the TYPO3 project and an avid supporter of the vision behind TYPO3 5.0 "phoenix" since it's inception in May 2005.

Robert Lemke is also a founding member of the TYPO3 association and the team leader of the 5.0 development branch. His involvement with TYPO3 includes a large part of the becoming of TemplaVoila, several tutorials and the second version of the TYPO3 Extension Repository (TER) on typo3.org.
